Elizabeth Kubler-Ross has long been someone I admire.  Her work with terminally ill patients has always been commendable and she is best known for her five stages of dying.  In her book:

[easyazon_link identifier=”B00B6LRV40″ locale=”US” tag=”80010c-20″]On Life After Death[/easyazon_link], Kubler Ross shows through four lectures she has given that death (transition) (a word I use in place of the word death and I’ve come to find out by reading On Life After Death, that Kubler Ross uses the same word) is not something to be fearful of, not something to run away from.  Transition should be welcomed just as birth is welcomed.  Transition is a natural part of life, something we all must face.  As I read this book I constantly saw words and subjects I have used for many years to describe my own feelings of Transition.  Kubler Ross in one paragraph of one of the lectures in this book describes death as taking off a winter coat.  I use that phrase myself as the title of a column here at Wisdom and Life and that phrase later became the working title of my own book on Transition.  For anyone with a terminally ill friend, or family member who doesn’t know how to react, doesn’t know the right thing to say or do, and wants comfort in the knowledge that we all survive this mortal coil, then I highly suggest finding this book and reading it.

On Life After Death may give you hope, knowing that thousands and thousands of people who have had Near Death Experiences (NDE) all return with the same information:
–Hovering over your body, your shell.
–Seeing those who have passed before them.
–Traveling through a tunnel where a bright light welcomes them at the end.
–Feeling nothing but unconditional love while in this ethereal place.
–Not wanting to return, and feeling overwhelming distress when they DO return.

It doesn’t matter your race, your religion or your creed.  EVERYONE who has had an NDE reports all of these things.

There REALLY is no death.  I’ve known that from day one.  It’s one of the reasons this blog exists and one of the reasons I’ve written my own book on Transitioning.  I think it is extremely important to spread the knowledge that death, that transition is not something to be feared.  Take off you spiritual blinders.

Wake up and see the world as it really is:
A place of spiritual energy, a place we all come to to work out our physical needs and challenges.

This thing we call life is the only way we have of working through those challenges to bring us closer to the Divine, to the Light, to perfect harmony with Source, with God.

On Life After Death, like so many other books on this topic is another important cog in the wheel of this experience.  Don’t pass this book up.  You may just come away with some new insights.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;

We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying.  For there truly is no end.
