My brother, Mike has recently begun reciting my tagline when faced with something he doesn’t like, negativity, someone spouting off at him, someone getting in his space.   He cuts off the final line though.  I can live with it. Mike gets the point that living a happy life is the way to live.  The first time I heard him recite the line I was visiting my Mom’s.  After he said it he looked at me and smiled then said:
We used to make fun of Chris for this but he’s onto something. This REALLY is the best way to live your life.

(I’m paraphrasing, of course because I don’t recall his exact words, but this was the gist of the point he was making.)

A couple years ago I read Wayne Dyer’s book Excuses Begone,  it became a running joke between Mike and I and the rest of our family for Mike to run around saying:
Excuses Begone
when someone said or did something in a negative light.  At the time I don’t think he was fully convinced of my attitude shift but after last week upon hearing Mike parrott my tagline I now believe he has done seen the light.  Fascinating because I never gave it any consideration that my worldview would influence anyone in my immediate family.

After having time to reflect on the matter however, I’d have to say that if anyone was going to take up my mantle so to speak, it would have to be my brother, Mike.  We’re cut from the same cloth. We have similar personality traits. We’ve gone through similar challenges.

On Monday he asked me if I made up the tagline.  Shrugging, I said I was looking for a positive way to end my blog columns and since the point I’m making with Wisdom and Life is that you can live a happy life if you simply pivot, if you simply change your attitude, I wanted something that reflected that point.  I added the next tagline:
Blessings to you shortly after as an addendum because my blog took on a spiritual tone. The theme has remained constant since the blog’s inception three years ago however:
That with spirit and and a positive outlook you can surely change the way you see life.

Life is supposed to be happy!
Life is supposed to be well!
Life is supposed to be positive!

How do you see life?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
