Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting.

William Wordsworth
From Ode. Intimations of Immortality

My friend, Debra Elramy at Pure and Simple left a comment at a recent post called Law of Attraction is Universal on my Wisdom and Life Blog where she quoted Wordsworth.  The first line of that ode. above struck me to the quick, because this is exactly how I feel.  I responded as such back to Debra.

Interesting that some see birth as sleep.  If these same people view birth as sleep, then transitioning must be seen as waking up.  That makes sense to me in a spiritual connotation.  Opposites, huh?  I do like it.  This view may very well have to be incorporated into my paradigm now too.  I can definitely see where this would fit nicely like a missing piece to a puzzle; especially in light of all the reading I’ve been doing on this subject.  In regards to all the reading I’ve done I’m surprised I didn’t come across this before.  Everything in its own time though.   Correct?

In previous posts I’ve written here I have associated transitioning with sleep. Now though after seeing this quote, I’ll have to reconsider my thought process on transitioning as sleep.  We do indeed wake after death. In fact, I believe we are more awake in our spiritual realm than we are in our physical realm which is yet another reason I’m having a challenging time with the fact that I didn’t understand, that I didn’t come to the same conclusion earlier.

As I’ve written here in the past however, I just wasn’t ready to accept this new piece to the puzzle into my paradigm. Now that it has been put in place, it feels as I’d it’s always been there.

Do you have examples of times when something you never thought would fit into your paradigm but after seeing it expressed by someone else you suddenly realize:
Wow!  That makes perfect sense. Why didn’t I see it before!

Would love to hear from you in the comments below.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
