If you could get to the place where you no longer feel a need to push against anything that you disagree with—you would become in alignment with what you do agree with. Even within your own body, it is your pushing against those things you don’t agree with that causes you to be out of alignment with what you do agree.

Plateau

There have been times in the past when I’ve received distressing news:
whether it be someone walking out of my life,
whether it be losing the opportunity of a job that I REALLY wanted,
whether it be someone letting me down after promising to do something with me

that I would be devastated for days after.

I’d hide in my home.
I’d pout,
I’d get angry.

Who was this hurting?  Certainly not the people I directed my energy toward.  No!  It was hurting me.  It’s like I wrote here previously with Holding onto Anger.  When you keep that emotion with you it only hurts you.  What you need to learn is exactly what Abraham-Hicks says:
Find that place where you no longer need to push back.

It won’t be easy.  It took me thirty plus years to understand and to put it into motion.  Which is not to say I don’t still feel the need to get angry and pout, I do!  I generally give myself one day to wallow.  Anything more than a day then I know something is more wrong than emotional distress.  I typically pick myself up after a day of wallowing.  We all need that to figure out where to go next what to do after we reach a particularly distressing plateau in our lives.  The trick is not to stay on that plateau for long.  We need to climb down and continue moving forward.  After all life is about moving forward, not standing still, not wallowing indefinitely, not holding onto negative emotions.

Want to move forward?  Then you MUST find the place where you no longer feel the need to push back.  Find it and not only will your emotional health improve, your physical health will also improve.

Don’t sit on that negative plateau any longer.

Climb down and keep moving!

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;

We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying.  For there truly is no end.
