How Much More

God gives me credit for being able to take more than I think I can take. He wants me to take comfort in the fact that he is close. He isn’t going anywhere, and no matter how scary things get, he won’t come unglued. Our afflictions are designed not to break us, but to bend us toward the eternal and the holy. God sticks with us through it all. I’ve heard it summed up this way ”My heart is wallpapered to God’s heart.”

God Always Has A Plan B

Do you sometimes feel as if the weight of the world is bearing down on you? Having challenging issue upon challenging issue pop up? Wondering just much more you can take? One thing EVERYONE MUST remember, and I understand that this is a difficult concept to grasp especially when you’re in the middle of your storm:
God ONLY gives us what we can handle.

And what WE think we can manage is far less than what God KNOWS we can! If you think something is too big a challenge, all you have to do is look around you and I guarantee you’ll find someone in a far worse situation. If they are on the same path they will no doubt be looking too. I’m reminded of a video I first saw on my friend, Rich Fowler’s blog called The Daily Column

Here’s the video:
Nick Vujicic

Someone posted it here in of my first blog entries called:
Being Grateful

I think it applies to both THAT entry and this one. It applies to this one because, obviously, God felt Nick could deal with the challenges he has. And look at how Nick is handling his challenges! Is he hiding away? Is he cursing his life? No and no!

We all have challenges and you know the funny thing? Everyone thinks their challenges are the most horrible. They are if you think they are. Some of us give up and get stuck complaining. That’s not what life is about. That’s not what God wants. He wants us to meet are challenges head on. Don’t shrink away from life. If a perceived challenge appears on your horizon,
A. Find a way to defeat it.
B. If you can’t defeat it, find a way to incorporate it into your life, find the gift in the challenge.

And remember once your storm has passed the sun will once again shine on your life. The sun will clear the clouds and you’ll understand why you went through it.

Pardon the interruption:
On Monday, we’ll be turning this space over to a guest blogger. About two weeks ago on my Wisdom and Life Facebook page I asked if anyone would be interested in contributing a column here and there. Someone stepped up.

Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
