Let There Be Light

And the Lord Said:
Let there be light.  And there was.

Daylight Saving time is upon us and I’m ecstatic.  Given the choice between cold and dark and cold and light I will choose cold and light every time.

I LOVE leaving work at 5pm when it is still light. I don’t enjoy driving ANYWHERE when it is dark out, even two minutes from work to home.  Make no mistake however. I like the warmer weather too. Especially being a photographer. There’s nothing better than getting home at 5pm then being able to run down to the water to capture sunsets:

Daylight saving time allows me to do that. It also allows me to take advantage of living within a five minute walk to work as I can start walking to work without worrying about walking home in the dark.  Are you getting the impression that given the choice between walking and driving, that will choose to walk EVERY time.  It’s why I feel so blessed to live where I live.

Thank you!
Thank you, Aunt Bet!

Bring on the light.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;

We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying.  For there truly is no end.

  1. I’m glad you enjoy the time change, Chris, but it is always a difficult adjustment for my body clock. I like to wake up to the light; but today, I woke up to darkness in trying to acclimate to the new time. Maybe as the days lengthen, I’ll feel better about it.

  2. Bring on the light! great sentence. and lovely photo too. You have great talent. Like Martha above I just wish they would stay with one time or another, I hate the switching back and forth. I do like the evening light – you are so right. today in NW Ohio is sunny and windy and glorious billowing clouds and I have an extra hour to enjoy it. Be grateful for what we have, right?
