The effects of a past life can manifest in your current life in many ways but should be used as a tool, not an excuse.

Karma!  Is it good or bad?  Some of us having seen it at work first hand automatically see karma as a bad thing.  Ya know what though?  It’s not good OR bad.  Karma is simply another law of the universe.  I’ve seen it work in my life in both ways.  I bet you expect me to go into the examples now.  It’s not gonna happen.  For those of you who DO know me well you can probably figure it out.  I can’t give ALL of my secrets away.

When I hear the word Karma I automatically think about Robin Williams in the movie Dead Again.  Williams played a small role as Dr. Cozy Carlisle.  The quote that always floats through my mind as it relates to Karma is this:
You take what you’ve learned from this life and use it in the next. That’s karma.

So see? Karma doesn’t have to a bad thing.  Do you think you’ve seen it at work in your life?  Okay!  Okay!  I’ll give you ONE example where I THINK it’s working in my life:
Roughly seventy percent of my friends are women.  I’ve ALWAYS related better to women then I have to men.  Still in all my time during this incarnation I haven’t been able to have a committed monogamous relationship.  I joke all the time that I must have been a real bastard in a previous life, I must have used and abused women.  Now karma is balancing my scales, allowing me to have deep friendships with women but not romantic ties, educating my soul to realize that sometimes getting to know someone on a profound level is more important then having a romance.  I do have close friends and I wouldn’t trade any one of them.

Karma is simply a balancing of your life scales.  If you view it that way then it simply can’t be seen as good OR bad.  All of life is balance.

–There’s a yin and a yang.
–There’s day and night
–There’s right and wrong.

Your soul is constantly evolving and always remembers previous lives.  It’s when you incarnate into the physical that you forget what your soul ALWAYS recalls.  You soul remembers but it is in your humanity that your forget what your soul remembers.  Forgetting our past lives is the soul’s defense mechanism.  Just imagine if we ALL were able to recall EVERY one of our past lives.  That could be emotionally devastating  I would think.  Some of us don’t need to remember ANYTHING to be convinced we’ve been here before.  Sometimes we get subtle hints, like a feeling of deja vu.

Or in my case where I’ve become instantly drawn to someone and simply knowing upon the first time meeting that person that we will be friends.  It’s happened several times to me during this most recent incarnation; and I always smile and thank my God every time:
Thank you, God for giving me back my friend.

That’s what I always say.  It’s one of the last things I say each night before going to sleep as well.  In case you weren’t aware and for those visiting for the first time, I KNOW deep in my soul that I’ve been here multiple times before and that I’ll be here again.  I believe we travel in groups.  The friends and family you have now?  You’ll see them again.  During your next incarnation, your BEST friend might be your brother or your sister.

We travel together to work out our karmic differences and similarities.

There are are no coincidences
There are no accidents
and there is no Death!
There is only God, and
EVERYTHING happens for a reason!

If you can ALWAYS remember that, all will be well.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
