In a world where we have routines to get everything done, we rarely have a routine for our spiritual self.

We all take time to exercise our bodies.
We all take time to exercise our minds.

But how many of us take time to exercise our souls, our spirits?  It’s just as important to keep our spiritual selves fit as it is our other selves.  For some of us it may be MORE important to stay spiritually centered.  How about you?  Do you set aside time each day to to practice oneness, to practice solitude, to practice meditation?

If not, why not?

You don’t even have to spend a long time doing so.  Twenty minutes, thirty minutes out of twenty four hours isn’t a significant amount of time to spend; and you’ll come away with a feeling of calm.

You can find peace in the oddest places too.  Places you wouldn’t dream of.  For example:
Driving in your car.  How many of us turn the radio on first thing?

Have you ever stopped to consider why you do this?  Is it because we’re not comfortable in our own skin? because we’re not comfortable with our own company?  The next time you’re in your car alone, don’t turn your radio on.  Simply concentrate on your own breathing.

Another example:
What do you do the minute you walk into your home?

I bet I can guess!  The TV goes on.  Why do you do that?  Again it’s because you aren’t comfortable in silence.  Break the habit!  The next time you arrive home, avoid the television.  Find your favorite chair and sit down; reflect on your day.  Meditate.

Exercise your soul!
Exercise your spirit.

Strengthen the spiritual bond within and everything else will fall into place.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
