Wonder By Natalie Merchant

O, I believe

Fate smiled and destiny
Laughed as she came to my cradle
Know this child will be able
Laughed as my body she lifted
Know this child will be gifted
With love, with patience and with faith
She’ll make her way.

From the Song:
On Natalie Merchant’s Album:

Love this song!  I THINK it’s because of the lyrics above.  If you change the pronoun from female to male, as in He’ll make his way.  You have the story of my life.  I SINCERELY believe and will continue to believe that I am blessed.  I also believe that Fate, Destiny, God whatever or whoever you put your faith in touched me.  As I’ve said here before, HE gave me the greatest gift he could.  He gave me the power of HIS faith.  HE gave me more than I’ll EVER use.  Heard this song today (Sunday, February 13.) as I was driving into work and decided to post today’s blog (Friday, February 18) about the song.

My faith is probably the most important part of my life and it’s something I love to share and write about.  As I’ve mentioned here many times, I understand that some of you get uncomfortable when I discuss this part of my life, but if you take away my faith, I will simply cease to be who I am.  You can’t separate my faith from who I am.  I would no longer exist as you know me.

I hope all my followers understand there are times when I’m pressed to write about this and that you’ll either read what I have to say and shake your head, thinking:
There he goes again!

And ignores the blog when I write about this OR reads what I have to say and takes it with a grain of salt.  OR even better, reads what I have to say and thinks about it and MAYBE takes it to heart and proceeds to search for their own spirituality, faith whatever.

It doesn’t make a difference to me what my readers decide to do.  I’m just here to present one viewpoint.  It doesn’t mean my worldview is the correct one.  There is no CORRECT worldview.  Whatever works for you is what your worldview is.

My faith, my spirituality woks for me.  I DO believe I was blessed with an overflowing faith and I DO believe one of the reasons I was blessed as I was is to share what I have.  Not necessarily my specific faith but just the fact that I have faith.  As long as you believe in something greater than yourself, that’s all that matters.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
