No matter what he does, every person on earth plays a central role in the history of the world. And normally he doesn’t know it.

Think back over the course of your life. How many people have you touched? You have no idea. How many people have you saved by simply being who you are? That’s right, I said saved. It could be a momentary meeting. You could make a life long connection in a matter of minutes. You have no idea what’s around the next corner.

The above quote reminds me of a scene in one of my favorite movies, Lawrence Kasdan’s Grand Canyon. The scene is a flashback of Kevin Kline’s character being pulled back onto the sidewalk after he starts to cross the street just as a bus nearly hits him. The person who pulled him back simply fades into the crowd after. Might I recommend Grand Canyon? Even before I understood the path I’m on now, I knew this movie spoke to me because it is all about the choices we make and that every choice is connected. We are ALL connected. For me, this movie’s message is that there are no coincidences. That everything happens for a reason and that No matter what he does, every person on earth plays a central role in the history of the world.

So interesting that this message pops up everywhere, from The Alchemist, to The Secret, to Lawrence Kasdan’s Grand Canyon. Everything is connected. Everything is connected to Source. Source can be the Universe/God/your power. Whatever. I choose to see my Source as God.

Don’t EVER think that your life here is meaningless. Everything you do, everyone you come in contact with is better for knowing you’re in the world.

That’s what I mean. How many people we touch, how many people we save, it is inconceivable. You could save someone just by reaching out. Call that friend you haven’t spoken to in awhile. Make the effort. The next time you may be the one looking for that phone call. Don’t go through life not knowing the impact you have on others. You have a huge impact on the world and those around you.

Don’t forget it!
