We can let the circumstances of our lives harden us so that we become increasingly resentful and afraid, or we can let them soften us, and make us kinder. We always have the choice.

An Open Heart:
Practicing Compassion In Everday Life

Dalai Lama

I found this book at someone’s house I know and I decided to borrow it.   This person has many of these inspirational books around.  I think they’re looking to become more positive, more spiritual, more joyful.  That’s the challenge they face.  They are LOOKING.  They can’t SEE.
They can’t see all the positives in their life.

They are always looking around the next corner.
They are always looking to the next event.

How do you become joyful?
You become joyful by being present.
You become joyful by being “in the now.”

You can’t follow someone else, however.  We all travel our path alone.  We are all connected though too.  It’s that connectedness that keeps us searching.  Someone sees a change in another and they think:
Wow!  I want that too.

Change doesn’t happen overnight and as hard as we try we can’t change someone else.  I learned that lesson.  We can’t hold onto anger.  We can’t hold grudges.  How do we expect to find joy if we are constantly holding onto anger, never letting go?  That’s why I LOVE this quote.  We DO have a choice!

Don’t follow someone else’s path.
See what’s in front of your own.  If you only look.  If you only remove your blinders.

Clear your own path.
Discover your own way to joy.

The first thing thing we must do before finding joy is clearing away the brush, clearing away the obstructions.  What are your obstructions that are keeping you from finding your Spirituality, your Divine, your Joy?

Are staying present?
Are you staying “in the now?”

Resentful or kind?
It’s your choice.  What will you choose?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
