A friend of mine sent me a news article about Sammy Hagar tweeting Happy Birthday to Eddie Van Halen in February. The two former band mates had an acrimonious break up years ago.

Hagar said that the passing of David Bowie and Glenn Frey lead him to mend fences with Van Halen. He said that he didn’t want to pass with having enemies. He said he no longer wants to hold grudges.
It can sometimes be seen as a weaknesses to forgive because some may see it as being taken advantage of, some may think you’re weak, some won’t understand.
Forgive anyway!
You’ll find a lightened heart.
You’ll find the negative turn positive.
Negativity, anger, distress?
They only hurt you. It’s like I say in Holding onto Anger. You’re grasping a hot piece of coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else, but you’re the one to get hurt. I’m with Sammy Hagar:
Forgive ALWAYS
You may be taken advantage of on some occasions.
People may not understand how if you’ve been hurt how you can embrace the person or state again.
Ya know what? You don’t owe anyone an explanation. You’re the captain of your own life. You get to decide if you want to row against the current or row with it. I’d rather row with it, even if others may not understand.
I learned that it’s too painful to stay angry. I don’t have time, strength or energy to stay negative, to stay locked in perpetual emotional distress. Each of our incarnations are short. I want to spend each life I have here joyful. If that means I sometimes get taken advantage of, I can live with that. At least I’m not staying angry, staying hurt, staying negative. I’ve been there and I don’t like it.
Want to join me in saying no to negativity? Saying no to grudges? Saying no to debilitating continuous anger?
Say yes to love!
Say yes to forgiveness. It’s not easy but if you can move past the hurt and get to the other side and don’t let someone else question your motivation, I think you’ll find that life will be easier. The weight of all that anger you carried will be lifted from your soul. And you will be much happier.
You can easily stay in that angry place and some do. It’s always easier to stay stuck then it is to move forward. But just because it’s easy doesn’t make it right. I’d rather do the work and move forward.
To love is Divine.
To forgive is Divine.
Join Sammy Hagar.

Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;
We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying. For there truly is no end.

I most definitely agree. (This was a wonderful way to start my day). Thanks, Chris!

Holding onto anger only hurts us in the long run, Chris. I couldn’t agree more! Forgive and forget and get on with this wonderful life! Blessings!
