If you’re climbing the ladder of life, you go rung by rung, one step at a time…. Sometimes you don’t think you’re progressing until you step back and see how high you’ve really gone.

Sometimes we make our greatest leaps in a short period of time and when we look back at how far we’ve come we take for granted that it was a huge step forward. When in reality, we wouldn’t have been able to take that giant leap were it not for all the little steps we took to get to that one giant step. Each step we take in life brings us closer to that huge step forward. I’m reminded of Sir Isaac Newton’s quote:
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Newton wouldn’t have seen what he saw if the groundwork wasn’t laid by others, just as that one step we took that seemed so monumental, while it certainly was we shouldn’t take for granted that we wouldn’t have been able to get there if we hadn’t laid the groundwork ourselves.

I’m in no way downplaying a success story. For anyone to overcome any type of adversity is an amazing accomplishment. Putting one foot in front of the other and continuing to march through this thing called life even when you’re knocked down at every step is an accomplishment. It’s not how many times you’re knocked down, but how many times you pick yourself up, brush yourself off and continue marching. That’s what should make you proud.

Every once in awhile, stop your progress and take a look around. You’ll ALWAYS be surprised at the progress you’ve made. I understand that I’ve used this example before, so please bare with me. I’m certainly not the same person I was two and half years ago when I was introduced to The Law of Attraction. My entire life changed as a result of becoming familiar with the precepts of The Law.

An example I can give that has had a direct influence on my work life is this:
When I started working if I wanted time off, my thoughts ALWAYS went:
No one will EVER do ANYTHING for you. You NEVER get the time you want off. That’s what happened and because it always happened, that’s where my thoughts went. Ya know what? I NEVER got the time that I wanted because that’s what I put out there. After studying The Law of Attraction and understanding that my thoughts were creating my reality, I decided to test the theory. Instead of putting out negativity, I decided that:
Yes someone will step up and take my shift if I want a day off that I’m scheduled for. Now, Ninety percent of the time, if I ask someone to cover for me it happens. The other ten percent of the time my plans fall through anyway so there’s no harm and no foul.

That’s how far I’ve come and it’s all due to understanding The Law of Attraction and putting it into practice on a daily basis. Anyone can learn these things, and while it is important to read the books and follow the lessons, the MOST important thing to do is put what you’ve read and learned into practice EVERY day. If you don’t practice what you’ve read and learned, all these lessons won’t change your life. You MUST MUST MUST practice the lessons on a daily basis.

You can have an amazing revolution in your life but unless you put forth the effort, you’ll stay in the same place and you don’t really want that do you? Practice! Practice! Practice!

Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive
