We need to remember that we are all created creative and can invent new scenarios as frequently as they are needed.

Maya Angelou

Everyone has something creative they are good at.  Whether it’s writing, acting, drawing, photography, whatever.  Discover what it is.  You don’t necessarily have to make it your living, but everyone should find their creative outlet, because anything creative can be extremely cathartic.

I’ve said it here before and I’ll say it again.  The creative outlets I have, from writing fiction in the early years of my life to my photography in the last fifteen years and now writing this blog has helped me stay centered when life goes off kilter.

You DO have something creative you can do.  What it is, I don’t know.  It’s your job to find out.  Try different things.  Maybe you’re a woodworker.  Can you make a tool box for someone important to you?  Perhaps you’re a baker.  You won’t know what you’re good at unless and until you put away your fear of failure and start attempting to discover your gift.  Keep at it.  If you’re not good at painting, maybe you’re good at photography.  If you’re not good at singing, perhaps you’re good at writing music.  Don’t give up at one failure.  Keep trying to find your creative gift.  Everyone has one.  It’s the people who give up too soon who are the failures not the people who continue searching.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!

Back To Fiction

Last November at my Book Launch, someone in the audience asked if I would ever return to writing fiction  At the time of the event and for years before I’d given up on fiction. I spent my writing time devoted to my two blogs: CJPPhotoNews and Wisdom And Life.     […]
