Here is how I feel about happiness… Ask some happy children at play about their goals or objectives… when you observe the confused look on their faces ask yourself what is happiness? Happy people do not require goals or objectives to be happy.

From my friend,

I’ve quoted my friend, Joshua Guild in the past.  We’re both on the same spiritual path and I’m so glad he reached out to me when he discovered my blog.  His statement above about children at play says so much about where I am at the moment.  I asked him if I could use it as a point of reference for my blog this week.

It is so true that children are happy just being.  They need not know anything.  Children can be happy splashing in a rain puddle, smearing mud on their faces, running through a water sprinkler on a warm summer day.

It’s ashame that as adults we forget to be children.  We forget to nurture our inner child.  Don’t feel embarrassed if you see a rain puddle in the street.  Go ahead and jump in it.  Give the child inside you permission to come out.  Let him play.  Give your child permission to not have goals for one day.  Simply decide to have fun.  It may become contagious and there is nothing wrong with that.  We all need play time even as adults!

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
