Earth Ain’t No Final Restin Place
“I found out everybody’s different – the same kind of different as me. We’re all just regular folks walkin down the road God done set in front of us. The truth about it is, whether we is rich or poor or something in between, this earth ain’t no final restin place. So in a way, we is all homeless – just workin our way toward home”
One of the reasons Same Kind of Different As Me spoke so deeply to me is that Denver Moore, the character speaking above has such a deep faith. Considering the road he traveled, it’s amazing he was able to hold onto that faith so heartedly.
I can identify with Denver because like him, as you my readers, should know by now my faith is overflowing. I also understand that our lives here are only transitory. When I was writing fiction I had a short story published a small press called:
Paradise Station.
In that story I wrote about someone dying and moving onto a way station (I envisioned this place as sort of a train station where the souls of the departed were coming and going. Some were going onto being educated about this new place. Some were returning to human physical form. While we are incarnated in humanity we ARE all homeless and I like that analogy. That’s why I chose this quote to post today. We are all transitory. Life and death is like Paradise Station. Souls are coming and going all the time.
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
