When the choice is to be right or to be kind, always make the choice that brings peace.
Wayne Dyer
Wayne Dyer has been a favorite of mine since being in this paradigm of Spirituality/Law of Attraction and I’ve read many of his books and seen many of DVDs. I believe I may have used his quotes in the past here as well.
Very interesting I found this quote to write about today as it has long been a mantra of my own. Let me take you back awhile. I once knew a family who was going through the challenge of Alzheimer’s Disease. There was a family member who didn’t play the game.
What game? You may ask. When one of the Alzheimer’s patients would get on a roll saying something that was clearly not recalled correctly, the proper thing to do would be to simply play along. In other words simply play the game. In that case isn’t it simply better to be kind, to not argue, to not make matters worse by creating more tension, to simply nod along and agree with the person’s recollection, even though, clearly to everyone that it was an incorrect thought?
To kind, rather than right?
To bring peace, rather than tension?
I always thought so and I always pointed this out. Long before I knew who Wayne Dyer was and even long before I was on this path, I was already taking small steps to get there. We all have similar stories I imagine. Tales of small steps to get to this place of peace.
What are some your stories?
How did you take small steps and looking back now over the course of your lives can you see where these steps took you? I’d love to hear from you.
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
