People say. “If I’m always setting goals and reaching for the future, then am I not squandering my now?” And we say if in your now you’re using a future event to make you feel good, you are still feeling good in your now. And that’s the best use of now that you could ever find.
Goals are important. Even if, as I say the major plans for your life have already been mapped out. I’ve written about this before here. Since we respond to joy and since joy comes to us from the journey, it seems to me that setting goals is a twofold success:
1. It gives us something to aim for, When we have a goal we begin to travel the road to meet that goal.
2. If we reach our goal, if it was something that we were supposed to do, then we have attained a success. That provides us with an ego boost.
What we can’t do is let a goal not reached bring us to our knees. We have to remember that for every goal we don’t attain, it simply means that something better is coming. Law of Attraction is a powerful tool and we can all use it to our benefit. As with all tools we first need to learn the basics. I’ve mentioned here many times how much LoA has changed the way I live my life.
Law of Attraction can be seen in Predestination, Spirituality. All major Religions have aspects of Law of Attraction. What we need to do is look at how LoA compares to Religion. In the movie, The Secret, there is a scene where someone says something to that effect, that:
All major Religions have aspects of Law of Attraction.
Study Law of Attraction and you’ll see this. I believe LoA is just another way of expressing our spirituality. They are intertwined.
What are you doing when you ask for something? When you are setting a goal? Who exactly are you asking? The Divine, right? In LoA terms you’re asking the universe, correct? In Spirituality, another word for Universe is the Divine. In religion those two words translate to God, correct? So can you now see where my Spirituality, my Religion has deepened since discovering Law of Attraction.
Setting goals is extremely important in the process of moving forward in our lives. If we didn’t have goals in mind we certainly wouldn’t be able to find our way through this adventure called life. Goals are part of our predestined plan. I’ll use myself as an example:
From early on in my life, my life goal was to be involved in books, somehow, whether it be writing them, reading them; somehow my plan included being paid to do something in that field. That goal was in my predestined plan. Before I incarnated during this lifetime I’m in now, I can certainly relate to the fact that my soul, my source, my essence looked at my life now and said:
Yes. This WILL happen. He will struggle. There will be challenges along the way. But when he reaches his goal, he will be grateful. He will be joyful. He will love his career choice. So yes! This is the life that I choose for this soul to enter.
The next time you reach a goal look up and say a silent prayer, or say it out loud. Whatever. Thank your soul. Thank God for providing you the opportunity to reach that goal. Because you know without those two very important aspects of your life, nothing would be possible.
Have you seen this at work in your own life?
Have you attained a success and suddenly realized this is something you always wanted to do? If so, that’s because that goal was part of your predestined plan. Remember that always!
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.
