So who is Heidi Watney and what does she have to do with Wisdom and Life?  I’ve been discussing the likelihood of coincidences recently.  Do you believe coincidences occur?  OR is there a divine reason for them?  Sometimes something will happen in our lives and there is no reasonable explanation for it.  We may NEVER understand why they happened.  However there MUST be some DIVINE reason for the experience.

Watching the Red Sox opening day today at home (Only the 2nd time since 2004 that I haven’t been to Fenway on Opening Day) because I have a few meetings that I couldn’t change brings to mind the story of Heidi Watney.  My friends, Rob and Lisa who have Opening Day tickets every year have included me since 2004 and I’m indebted to them for that.  I’m so VERY appreciative.  They will NEVER know how grateful I REALLY am.

So, onto Heidi Watney:
In May, 2008, Ms Watney began her television career on NESN, the TV home of The Boston Red Sox.  When she was introduced, my friend Rob was watching NESN at home and his jaw dropped.  He yelled out to his wife, Lisa:
“Ya gotta come here, Lisa!  You’re never gonna believe this.  He pointed to the woman on the base line and said:
Guess what her name is?

Lisa didn’t have an opportunity to answer, because the announcers in the booth welcomed her to the park.

No WAY!  No WAY!  Lisa said.  How does that happen?

I bet you want to know what I’m talking about, don’t you?

Well, here it is:
Growing up, both Rob and Lisa had dogs.  Okay!  Wait for it.  One dog’s name was Heidi and the other dog’s name was, you guessed it:
Watney.

Now I’ll ask YOU Lisa’s question:
How does that happen?

Anyone have similar stories?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris
