Studies show that people who have friends live longer and have fewer illnesses and that a close circle of friends actually helps the immune system work. With this in mind, run, don’t walk, to your nearest neighborhood coffee klatch, church group, political club or neighborhood bar. You won’t find that “close circle of friends” by sitting at home reading and watching TV! You do want your immune system to work, don’t you?
God Always Has a Plan B

Once again, the adage proves true that we get what we need at the PERFECT time. As you know I use many resources to get inspiration for Wisdom and Life. Last Monday as I leafed through God Always Has a Plan B, I opened the book to page 58 and saw the above quote. I knew immediately what I would write as the previous day I walked home from Starbucks thinking I needed to change a few habits I had grown accustomed too:
–One such habit I have is working and then coming directly home.
–Another is declining invitations from a couple of friends who clearly want to see me.
I understand that if I keep declining they will eventually grow tired of hearing me say no. I need to change that! Sometimes I say no because I have other responsibilities. I have a Social Media/Tech thing I do on the side and occasionally, I have clients when I’m invited out. On the times when I have nothing going on I have to start saying yes. Because as the quote above says:
You won’t find that “close circle of friends” by sitting at home reading and watching TV!
Not to say I don’t have a close circle. I do. I have the best group of friends I’ve ever had but I need to do more to help that group prosper. I can no longer keep declining invitations. I don’t want my friends to think I don’t want to see them. So starting now I’m changing that pattern.
You know that saying from Mahatma Gandhi:
Be the change that you want to see in the world.
Well, I’m implementing that starting RIGHT now. Are there any patterns that you are aware of in your own life that you know must change but that you’ve become comfortable with?
I understand that it sometimes takes an event to create the impetus to move forward with any changes you want to make. This change that I’ve decided to implement has been a long time coming and something DID happen within the last month to move me forward. What matters is that I’ve FINALLY chosen to change, not that something caused me to change.
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;
We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying. For there truly is no end.
