A few summers ago several of my friends from high school asked me to join them for cookout at our local town beach. As more people arrived, people I didn’t even know came up to me and initiated conversations and not only that but addressed me by name.
Some of these people hadn’t seen me since high school. This kind of surprised me as I didn’t have an outgoing personality. Being introverted and having a few close friends when I attended high school, my initial impression as the party began was:
Are you talking to me?
I actually enjoyed the party and felt welcome even by the people I didn’t know. Typically when I attend parties/cookouts and the like I get anxious because I feel like I won’t fit in. I clearly understand this feeling emanates from within myself and it is something I need to work on.
My reason for bringing this party up at Wisdom and Life?
To show EVERYONE, school age students specifically that
Even if you think you are invisible,
Even if you think you don’t matter,
Even if you think you have no friends,
That is NEVER the case. You do matter. Even if you don’t know people, they know you. And they want to be your friend.
Reach out to someone new and you’ll likely be surprised by the reaction you get.
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;
We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying. For there truly is no end.
