Karen Sisco: [at the hotel bar] So tell me, Gary, what do you do for a living?

Jack Foley: How far do you want to go with this?

Karen Sisco: Not yet. Don’t say anything yet.

Jack Foley: I don’t think it works if we’re somebody else. I mean, Gary and Celeste, what do they know about anything?

Karen Sisco: Well, this is your game, I’ve never played before.

Jack Foley: It’s not a game. It’s not something you play.

Karen Sisco: Well, does this make any sense to you?

Jack Foley: It doesn’t have to. It’s something that happens. It’s like seeing someone for the first time… like you could be passing on the street, and you look at each other and for a few seconds… there’s this kind of a recognition… like you both know something. The next moment, the person’s gone, and it’s too late to do anything about it. And you always remember it, because it was there, and you let it go, and you think to yourself, “What if I had stopped? If I had said something?”

Jack Foley: “What if, what if?” And it may only happen a few times in your life.

I watched Out Of Sight a few weeks ago for the first time since I went to the theater to see it and the movie held up surprisingly well.  I would expect nothing less from an Elmore Leonard story however.  With the cast included the movie could only BE a success.

This isn’t the first time I’ve included a Clooney reference at Wisdom and Life.  Check out Your Life is Like a River.  The passage I’m focusing on in the above scene is this one:
Jack Foley says:

It’s like seeing someone for the first time… like you could be passing on the street, and you look at each other and for a few seconds… there’s this kind of a recognition… like you both know something. The next moment, the person’s gone, and it’s too late to do anything about it. And you always remember it, because it was there, and you let it go, and you think to yourself, “What if I had stopped? If I had said something?”

See?

My feeling is:
If you feel an instant connection with someone you meet on the street.

If your eyes meet and you BOTH have this recognition, you owe it to yourself to explore that.  Why would you let that pass?  Makes no sense.

You do understand my conception of past lives and reincarnation don’t you?  What if this person you passed is somehow in your Soul Group and this is your one opportunity to meet?  This could be a test for both of you.  Do you recognize each other’s souls enough to do something about it?

I bet you’re thinking what is Chris talking about.  A test?  Yeah I’m convinced that life is a series of tests given to us by the Divine.  How we perform guides us in our next incarnation.  Let’s take passing our soulmate on the street as an example:
If this person we feel an instant connection with
This person we don’t know from Adam in the physical sense passes us on the street and you BOTH stop look at each other.

Isn’t it worth a moment of your lifetime to explore the reason you feel that electricity?  Even if neither of you subscribe to the Past Life paradigm, how often do you have that electric feeling?

Karen Sisco says:
Well, does this make any sense to you?

Foley is right when he says it doesn’t have to make sense.  Attraction seldom makes sense.  –We are attracted to each other’s souls.
–That’s why there is the case of love at first sight.  It’s REALLY NOT first sight.  Oh yes in the physical sense it is.  But we knew each long before we passed each other on said street.
–We are brought together on a soul level to love, to work out our lessons together.

Meeting your soulmate at a specific time has been predestined from the time we chose our physical incarnation.  It’s up to us to act on the meeting.  We DO have control over some aspects of our lives as I’ve said here countless times.

This is information that some of you me feel is kind of esoteric.  Some of you may be shaking your heads thinking:
Wow!  Does Chris REALLY believe this?

My answer to that is a resounding YES!  As I’ve stated at Wisdom and Life:
This is who I am.  Take me or leave me.  I no longer worry what others think.  I’ve seen too much, been involved in too much to not understand that there is a fabric to this place we call the universe underneath everything else. You only have to remove your spiritual blinders to see there is SOOOO much more.

Can you take your blinders off and join me on this incredible journey that I’m on?

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris

Fiction is Now My Main Squeeze

Last month on July 29, I wrote Fiction is My Mistress.  I have now decided that for the time being, until my new project is complete, I have to put CJPPhotoNews and Wisdom and Life into hibernation.  Up until last November, I didn’t think I would return to writing fiction again.  Now though, […]
