Nothing is Permanent
Nothing is permanent in each of our incarnations; The only permanence is in the fact that we return again and again and we meet the same people again and again.
I was reminded of this last week while waiting for my walking partner and friend. Doris Z. someone I just met about six months ago came up to me and told me she has lung cancer. She never smoked. I felt honored that she felt comfortable enough with me after only just meeting me to share such intimate details with me. Laura B. another friend saw me a few weeks ago and mentioned that as long as she has known me, for almost twenty years, she has noticed how many people feel an instant connection with me and almost immediately upon meeting feel at ease and begin sharing intimate details of their lives.

I never really gave that any thought but after Laura mentioned it, and after my conversation with Doris it all struck me at once that Laura was correct.
Nothing is permanent. I originally was going in a completely different direction with this column. However after having that conversation in the parking lot while waiting for my walking partner, I decided I needed to give credit to Doris and have her in my thoughts. I did my best to comfort her. I don’t know how successful I was however. I always feel like I should do more to help those in need. I want nothing more than to wave a magic wand and make everything all better for those in any kind of pain, whether it be physical or emotional. It’s just the kind of person I am. I can’t change my DNA.
If we can only remember that nothing is permanent, not pain, not blessings, not the weather, our lives would be dramatically improved. Change is inevitable and we don’t have to view that as a negative. To many people resist the inevitability of change and fighting it only causes us distress. As I constantly say at Wisdom and Life:
Why not flow with the current? Row your boat down the stream.
It’s only when we fight the current.
It’s only when we resist change.
That we struggle.
Everything that is happening in our lives is supposed to happen is it is unfolding anyway. Our lives have been mapped out for us, by us before we incarnate anyway.
So don’t resist.
So don’t struggle.
Having relationship challenges?
It’s part of why you chose the relationship you’re in.
It’s why you’re having a challenge with your partner, whether they be your lover, your mate or simply a friend. Every relationship you experience over the course of each incarnation you have is there to help you grow, to help you learn. Everyone in your circle has ALWAYS been with you. And we change relationships during each incarnation. In one you may have a best friend. In a previous or future incarnation that best friend may be your husband or your wife, they may be your brother or sister. They may transition early or late. It all depends on their decision.
That’s why I say that nothing is permanent except our continual recycling, our continual reincarnating. I’ve said it before:
God was the first to think green.
So if you are experiencing an emotional storm.
So If you are experiencing physical pain.
Remember:
Nothing is permanent.
And all the challenges we face are put in our path to help us grow beyond our dreams, to help us move up another rung in that spiritual ladder.
Our final goal is to get to a point where we aren’t directed to return but where we can CHOOSE to return, to reincarnate. Where we become one with God. Our souls are constantly evolving and at some point we hope to get to the place where we don’t HAVE TO return. Where we can choose to return if we want to.
As I said:
Nothing is permanent in each of our incarnations; The only permanence is in the fact that we return again and again and we meet the same people again and again.
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;
We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying. For there truly is no end.
