An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it’s going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.

Is your life full of challenges at the moment?  Do things seem to be piling up with no end in sight?

I understand that it’s challenging to hear someone tell you if you’re having a difficult time to find the gift, that strength comes in the face of adversity, that as the quote above states:
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward.

It is true, however.  If you feel as if you’re being dragged down, being held back, it’s a sign that you’re about to leap forward.  Don’t become discouraged.  Don’t let a challenging circumstance or event bring you to your knees for too long.  I’ve seen this happen to myself.

In the early 1990s I had just finished up a five year job with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.  I’d been out of work for a few months and I began to feel restless.  I started to sink a bit.  Backward a bit.  It was around this time that I decided to go back to school. And once that plan was put to fruition, I was hired part time at the Scranton Library in Madison, Connecticut.

So what I’m saying is, that even though life may be bringing you down at the moment, may be pulling you back, get ready to leap forward.  The ONE THING I can say however, is don’t expect something to happen if you don’t lay the groundwork.  You can’t move forward without a path to move forward on.  One foot in front of the other and one leap forward.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;

We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying.  For there truly is no end.

    Absolutely true, Chris! I’ve experienced this many times over the years, usually in periods of “spiritual dryness,” when I don’t see how God is working in my life. It’s as if He is drawing me back to ponder and assess before He can show me something, some place, so much grander than I could have imagined. I’ll be His arrow any day!
    Blessings!
