Last Column this year.
Wisdom and Life is taking
its annual Holiday Hiatus.
See you at the end of January.
Although a created being tends to the divine likeness in many ways, this one whereby it seeks the divine likeness by being the cause of others takes the ultimate place. We are God’s co-workers.

I forget that I have inspirational books to jump start Wisdom and Life. Christian Mystics is one such book. I have to mention my friend, Lisa R for recommending the book. It is filled with quotes and passages from those who lived many years ago. Some our saints. Some our priests. All our spiritual in nature. I highly recommend the book and if click on the link to Christian Mystics above it will bring you to my Amazon affiliate page. Anyone who purchases the book through my affiliate account will be helping to support my blog.
I’m primarily going to use the last sentence of the above quote as the lead for today’s column. Before we start today however, a bit of a background story:
I often look back in wonder at how Wisdom and Life changes so quickly from it’s original intention of being strictly about Law of Attraction to becoming more spiritual. I see God’s hand in that so clearly now. The fact that that it DID change is more evidence in my opinion that as I’ve maintained for quite some time that I’m simply a conduit. I may be typing these words that fill the page, but I believe the thoughts are of the divine.
The above quote by Saint Thomas Aquinas is a clear indication that we are indeed God’s co-workers as it relates to Wisdom and Life. I’m convinced that the Divine motivated the shift in direction to this blog.
We can do nothing without God’s intervention. As much as some of us, myself included say that if we ask it will be received, we still have work to do on our own to create the life we want. Sure the Divine plays a HUGE role in our lives if let it in, we can’t simply sit back and expect results and gifts to show up if we don’t participate in the expectation. For example, I’ve said before that getting my job at the library in Madison Connecticut was a gift because I don’t drive on the highway and I live ten minutes away from work.
That wouldn’t have happened if I first didn’t make every effort to graduate from college with a library degree. We are all responsible for creating our lives just as much as the Divine is responsible for helping us get there. We can’t do it on our own just as God can’t help us if we don’t make some effort ourselves.
Saint Thomas Aquinas has played a significant role in my life as well as this blog as can be seen from the above link. Thomas Aquinas is well known for his quote:
To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.
Seeing that faith is so important to me, you can now probably understand why he is so relevant to me.
Be Happy! Be Well! Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Once you realize that life is eternal,
That our souls our eternal,
That we return to light and physical over and over;
We then lose all our distress
We then lose all our fear of dying. For there truly is no end.

I love that quote from St. Thomas, Chris. So very true!
We are all the co-workers of God, when we allow Him to enter our lives.
Blessings to you always, and enjoy your hiatus from blogging! I’m sure enjoying mine. 🙂

I like that quote. I never knew it was from Aquinas, but I’m not surprised.
