I feel like I short changed my readers yesterday by not posting something relevant to me, so I’m kind of making up for it today. My original intention for this blog was going to be a Monday through Friday posting and taking the weekends off. I’m finding I have more to pass on though and if I continue to feel this way I may pop in on a weekend now and then.

As you can guess from the title of the post today, I’ll be talking about faith and if you haven’t guessed yet I’m talking about spiritual faith, NOT religious faith. I’m talking about faith in whatever power you worship. I call my power God and I won’t shy away from that. You can find a word that describes yours and I won’t judge you. I hope you don’t judge me.

Alright, I’m off my soapbox now and onto the topic at hand:

Faith
Where does it come from?
Who has it?
Who doesn’t?
If you want it and don’t have it how do you get it?

These are all important questions. Unfortunately I can’t answer them for you. I can give you my own life lesson and you can choose to accept what I have to say or not. I’m fine with whatever you decide. All my posts here are written with the same caveat. Choose to take what I say to heart. Choose bits and pieces. Take some. Throw some away. I’m writing this blog because there is a movement happening in the world today and as I said in a previous post, I want to be one small part that helps lift the veil away from people who want to see what’s happening.

Okay, I drifted again. Sorry…
Faith
Merriam Webster defines faith as:
a (1) : belief and trust in and loyalty to God (2) : belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion b (1) : firm belief in something for which there is no proof.

As far as I know, I’m the only one in my immediate family who has faith in abundance. At least I’m the only one that openly discusses it. I may lose some of you with my belief system and that’s alright. I certainly don’t expect everyone to accept everything I have to say, but I believe my over abundance of faith was a gift bestowed on me before I arrived in this physical form. Knowing all the challenges I was going to face, My God wanted me to understand that he wasn’t far away, and he wanted me to know beyond doubt that his guiding hand was always there.

Too many things have happened for me to see my life as nothing but divine. I shouldn’t have survived through infancy. Two seizures, and a subdural hematoma. I recall hearing multiple times as I grew up, how my doctors didn’t expect me to live and even if I did survive I wasn’t expected to live a very fulfilling life. I also have scoliosis and I recently discovered that with the type I have it’s a miracle that I’m walking. Just another example of God’s guiding hand.

When I look back over all the challenges I’ve met and exceeded, only one word comes to mind:
Faith!

For me, Faith is a two way street. It was gifted to me before I arrived and I’m returning the gift to whoever/whatever gave it to me by practicing it daily. If I can share some of my faith with others, then that makes it even better. There is NO doubt in me. I KNOW! I don’t believe, I KNOW God is watching out for me. He’s watching out for everyone, even if you don’t believe. That’s what faith is.

I have so much faith that it won’t stay inside me. Ya know what happens when you overfill a bucket with water? The water will keep spilling over. That overfilled bucket of water is my faith.

Want some?
